We offer VAT relief on most of our items such as Riser Recliners, Adjustable Beds, Mobility Scooters, Wheelchairs, and most other daily living aids.

If you are purchasing an item that can be used to help, assist or aid a long term medical condition such as Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Diabetes, Parkinson’s, C.O.P.D, or any other long term, chronic illness then you could be eligible for VAT relief.

Unlike most other products, some of our items can be purchased without VAT if met by the criteria below - this is known as VAT Relief.Where applicable, we will advertise our prices exclusive of VAT, if you purchase one of these items please let us know your medical condition.

However there are some items that are not applicable for zero-rated VAT and in this case, the listing will clearly show that VAT is included within the advertised price.

    What chronic medical conditions are accepted?

    All known chronic medical conditions are accepted as long as they are applicable to the user and product for which they are purchasing. This can include but not limited to:

  • - Osteoporosis

Can I claim VAT relief on behalf of another person?

Yes. If a parent, spouse or guardian acts on behalf of a ‘chronically sick or disabled’ person, your supply is treated as being made to that ‘chronically sick or disabled’ person.

POSTAGE

Most of our products are listed with a 1 working day dispatch with a Royal Mail 48hr tracked service. You will see however from our feedback that we actually strive to dispatch our goods the same day that the order is received, but due to varying work loads we cannot guarantee this.

If you require an item urgently please get in touch with us ASAP and if possible we will send the item out immediately and you may also on request an upgrade to a Royal Mail 24hr service for a very small fee where possible.

The ethos behind AMS Services is to recycle everything to do with Mobility Equipment both large & small where humanly possible and hate to see waste in any area including packaging, cardboard boxes etc. With this in mind your parts may not be delivered in a brand new box with brand new packaging, in fact, don’t be surprised if your replacement part arrives in a toaster or kettle box as we love re-cycle boxes from our local shops!

RETURNS POLICY

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, we give customers 30 days in which orders can be returned after the delivery date. Upon receipt of the goods, if you need to return/exchange the product(s) you purchased you will be personally responsible for the return delivery including any costs. We do recommend that you pay for a signed delivery for your protection.

If you would like to return or exchange your products please just send us a message and we will explain what you need to do. Any returned product(s) must be unused, in an undamaged state and returned in their original outer packaging if present when the item was purchased.

BATTERIES

As our refurbished batteries are made to order these cannot unfortunately be returned for a full refund, we may however accept the return for a partial refund depending on the circumstances.

AMS Services reserves the right to charge for repair, replacement or repackaging of any products not returned in their original condition. This charge may include the cost of parts, materials, packaging, labour and any subsequent loss to us.

The product must be packed back up securely in its box as it was delivered including any polystyrene, bags or bubble wrap etc. Please make sure all loose items such as footrests, bags, and fittings are included and packed sufficiently to protect them against damage in transit.

****Please note, all of our parts / equipment are clearly marked with a security label to maintain our high standards, items that are missing this security label or the label has been tampered with will not be accepted as a return.
